It seems that when it rains it pours. All of our small appliances seem to be breaking all at once. Mat tried grinding some almonds in our coffee grinder and it burned out the motor. I tried to take it to our small appliance repair man, Dino, but it is unfixable. Then Calvin's radio/CD player that we got for playing lullabyes in his room is acting all funny. It will sometimes play and when it does, it skips no matter what the CD is. Haven't taken it to Dino yet, but I'm assuming it will also be unfixable. The final thing to go recently was our vacuum cleaner. I heard the maid using it and it was having a funny high pitched sound. We took it all apart and cleaned it out, but the problem looks like the motor. Dino doesn't fix vacuum cleaners and the only other vacuum repair place in town has apparently closed down due to lack of business. So there goes the vacuum. Then last night, Mat said, "I'm not sure our little electric oven/stove top appliance is working right as it took 3 hours to cook this chicken." Ahhhhh...I'm choosing to ignore this comment for now, hoping that there may be some other possible explaination for why the chicken took 3 hours to cook!
